The reformulation represents an improvement in sensoriality, featuring a lighter cream texture and a serum with a drier touch

Alqvimia has reformulated its Essentially Beautiful Balance range of skincare for combination and oily skin.
The new formulas include plant-based bioretinol, antioxidants and sebum regulators to perfect texture, hydration and nourishment, without adding extra oil.
The range comprises the Essentially Beautiful Balance Cream and the Essentially Beautiful Balance Serum.
The cream’s key ingredients include a complex of thyme and French camelina oil, which is said to regulate sebum, calm redness and minimise pores.
Bidens Pilosa, flax and cottonseed extracts provide a bioretinol effect.
Bamboo extract also provides soothing antioxidant properties.
The price of the cream is €102 (US$113, £89) and it is designed to be used morning and night on the face, neck and décolleté after cleansing and toning.
The Essentially Beautiful Balance Serum is said to stimulate type one collagen, improving elasticity and facial contouring.
In addition to the same complex included in the cream, the serum also features arnica oil to soothe redness, apricot seed oil to protect the skin barrier and Limnanthes alba oil to soften and hydrate the skin.
A few drops can be applied at nice on the face and neck to clean, toned skin.
The serum costs €91.50 (US$101, £80).
Drolma Lizcano, CEO of Alqvimia, said: “The reformulation represents an improvement in sensoriality, featuring a lighter cream texture and a serum with a drier touch. This enhances the consumer’s experience during application, providing a greater sense of wellbeing and comfort.
“At the same time, we have chosen to innovate with new natural-origin ingredients that deliver a holistic action for mature combination or oily skin," added Lizcano. “These ingredients help to reduce excess sebum, minimise pore size, soothe the skin, support microbiota balance and improve both texture and the appearance of wrinkles.
“We have achieved this through the incorporation of new plant-based and biotechnological actives, while maintaining the aromatherapeutic and cosmetic power of essential oils, which remain the very soul of Alqvimia products,” concluded Lizcano.
