Famed for its powerfully charged products and treatments – and led by founders who have been teaching, practising and blending oils since the 70s – Aromatherapy Associates is delighted to launch of its very own Boutique & Treatment Rooms.
Set in Knightsbridge, it is the new window for the entire collection of Aromatherapy Associates Bath, Body and Skincare. Set against a background of warm grey tones, mirrored walls and quirky touches (including a chandelier of iconic Bath & Shower Oil bottles), it provides product depth and breadth, allowing customers to browse, try mini-treatments and sample products recommended to them by the team of expert aromatherapists. Downstairs, customers can experience results-driven treatments, based on traditional aromatherapy massage techniques for the body and radiance-inducing facials for the skin.
It is a flagship for Aromatherapy Associates treatments but also a way of educating the public, helping them to understand how the oils work to treat varying conditions. It’s about showcasing how powerful it is to choose the right blend for your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
For an even more bespoke approach, co-founder Geraldine Howard, who is a world authority on ‘the art of blending’ and power of aromatherapy, has introduced a one-to-one prescription service to develop personal oils specifically for individual customers.
Howard says: “It is a dream come true to have our own platform to shout about and share the life-changing benefits of aromatherapy. The space is dedicated to the therapeutic value of essential oils, but is also part of a wider strategy to help our spas get retail right. Strengthening that link between treatments and selling products is key, making sure therapists understand their client’s needs and that customers are aware of the products and how they can extend their treatment benefits at home”
