The Margaret Dabbs nail polish collection is themed after the names of English flowers
Hand and foot-care specialist Margaret Dabbs London has unveiled its first-ever nail polish range, themed after the names of English flowers and available in 72 shades.

Margaret Dabbs herself got her start as a podiatrist in 2004, and quickly expanded her business beyond the medical side of dealing with foot problems when she identified a hole in the marketplace for hand and foot treatments that combined clinical and aesthetic needs.

Today, Margaret Dabbs has five clinics and another two in the works, and the company is expanding in a big way into spas, salons and retail outlets; the brand also recently launched in the US.

The nail polish formula was created personally by Dabbs to promote nail health and vitality, and includes vitamin E to strengthen and protect the nails and wild rose botanical to revitalise and prevent infection; the wild rose extract also has the added bonus of leaving the lasting scent of wild roses on the nails.

“Everything we do at Margaret Dabbs London is about health and wellbeing,” explains Dabbs. “...This introduction means we enter the colour sector for the first time. It is a big launch for us as a brand and an area we hope to expand on in the near future. Nails are part of the skin after all, made up of keratin skin cells. They are permeable and contain water, which is why it is important to nourish and protect them, just as we would the rest of our body...Nail polish often contains harsh chemicals that can damage the nails. This can cause dehydration, brittleness, discolouration and weaken them. Nails benefit from having the infusion of added vitamin E and nutrients, in the same way as the skin on the body.”
