Monarch Robe & Towel, which supplies fine bathrobes and towels to the global hospitality industry, has acquired Cypress Luxury Bath & Bed Amenities, from Russell Newman Brands.
The acquisition, which was finalised on 13 July, includes all Cypress trademarks, products and inventory.
Operations for both companies will continue as normal during the merger process, which is already under way.
Although the two companies have been rivals for many years, they share a key link in that Gene Faul, CEO of Monarch's Hotel Division, and Karen Faul, president of the Hotel Division, were the founders of Cypress.
The couple ran Cypress from its inception in 1980 until 2010, when they joined Monarch.
