In what has been hailed as its “biggest launch since Pro-Collagen,” skincare brand Elemis has unveiled its new Biotec energising skin care system, due to debut at retail in April.

The initial line includes a cleanser, day cream and night cream, though “it’s such a key focus that within this system, there will be further launches,” said Nicci Anstey, head of training and education for Elemis.

Biotec has been in development with Elemis’s cosmetic scientists for more than three years, and the system aims to re-boot skin’s performance with a patented technology that includes encapsulated zinc and copper to increase cell energy.

“Cell energy is crucial to skin health,” said Noella Gabriel, co-founder and creator of Elemis therapies. “I wanted to create a system that would turbo-charge the skin from within, delivering true vitality to the complexion. This is ground-breaking technology, where the beest of science and the best of nature are harnessed for extraordinary results.”

In addition to the encapsulated zinc and copper, Biotec also includes a trio of acids and amber. The combination helps to combat lifestyle challenges such as ageing, UV exposure, stress, poor diet or menopause – all of which can deplete cell energy – resulting in poor skin function, visible skin problems and a dull, tired complexion.

Both the day and night creams are designed with a two-phase bottle; Phase 1 includes the trio of acids – succinic, lactic and ferulic – as well as an electrolyte solution and a moisture complex with alisma, sodium PCA and cranberry seed oil. Phase 2 – with the bio-energy complex of encapsulated zinc and copper, plus Phyto-Bioactive, is mixed in only when the pump is activated, keeping the minerals fresh.

The system is also designed to work according to individual needs, harnessing adaptagenic energy technology to calculate exactly what each unique skin requires, the company said.

Elemis also has a Biotec machine that works in synergy with the line, offering eight facials and five advanced technologies.
