UK spa sector to get new online booking service

A new web-based booking system for the spa industry is to be launched.

Commencing in June 2006, eyeSpa.co.uk will represent the finest day spas, beauty salons, hotel spas and destination spas in the UK and Ireland.

The site will include an online Spa Directory, special packages and offers, essential advice on what to expect from a spa visit, plus a press room.

In addition, eyeSpa.co.uk will be working closely with Visit Britain, Visit Scotland, Visit Wales and Visit Ireland to offer a proactive sales and marketing service to its member spas with the aim of becoming the UK's Number 1 promoter of spas.

eyeSpa.co.uk is currently recruiting member spas and has already secured over 20 venues including the newly launched 'spa of dreams', Titanic Spa in Yorkshire; ladies-only boutique day spa, Waterfall Spa in Leeds; and Thai-inspired SenSpa at Careys Manor in the New Forest.

Spa product houses can take advantage of onsite advertising and sponsorship opportunities, with natural and botanical professional skincare line, Pevonia Botanica already confirmed.

Founded by Christine Page, ex-Group Marketing and PR Manager of Whittlebury Hall, who has over 20 years of experience working in the hotel and spa industries, eyespa.co.uk will be staffed by a team of experts to provide both member spas and clients with the expertise required.

eyeSpa.co.uk's launch will be supported by a national marketing campaign including national consumer advertising, web marketing and a high profile PR programme through The Spa PR Company.
