Yon-Ka takes to the sky

French skincare company Yon-Ka has sponsored two women who decided to face the challenge of flying in the 23rd Air Rally of the Aeropostale.

Leaving from Toulouse in France, the rally is the longest scheduled such event in the world, covering 8000 miles in two weeks. The route covers Spain, Morocco, the Mauretanian deserts, Senegal and then back to Toulouse.

Françoise and Catherine Mühlethaler, directors of Yon-Ka, immediately agreed to sponsor Martine Gaye and Catherine Denis Van de Velde to allow them to be the rally's sole female crew.

The two pilots performed exceedingly well - ending up in 6th position out of 32 crews - and won the last stage of the rally ending in Toulouse. For this accomplishment they earned the Toulouse Trophy Cup, which was given to them in Catherine Mühlethaler's presence.

They also benefited from a personalised skincare programme for facing extreme conditions, which was prescribed by Catherine herself. This included using Mesonium 2 followed by Mesonium 1 in the morning, and then Ultra Protection and Le Baume Lips SPF 10 for protecting skin.
