Our objective was to develop a clinical-grade solution formulated to help reduce the appearance of redness and soothe the skin, while supporting long-term comfort and the skin’s moisture barrier
– Myriam Sayer, VP of marketing and operations, G.M. Collin

G.M. Collin has launched its Vaskotonic Advanced Serum for sensitive skin that is prone to redness.

The calming formula has been created to reduce redness, hydrate and help regenerate the skin’s moisture barrier. It has been designed for all skin types, but is described as especially beneficial for those experiencing irritation or discomfort.

Myriam Sayer, VP of marketing and operations, G.M. Collin, told Spa Business: “As a dermatologist-founded brand, we believe in smart formulation. Our objective was to develop a clinical-grade solution formulated to help reduce the appearance of redness and soothe the skin, while supporting long-term comfort and the skin’s moisture barrier.”

The serum’s ingredients include allantoin, bacillus ferment, centella Asiatica, squalane, jojoba oil and provitamin B5.

The brand’s clinical studies found 89 per cent of volunteers trying the product showed a decrease in skin redness after one hour. Ninety-seven per cent showed an improvement in skin hydration after 30 minutes. This study was based on 30 volunteers with diffuse redness who were evaluated after 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 28 days.

G.M. Collin says the product should be applied to the face, eye contour, neck and décolleté.

The professional format of the product has been launched exclusively for spa partners.

A 30ml retail bottle of serum costs US$86 (€77, £68) and will be available on gmcollin.com on 9 February.
