A new director of spa and recreation has been named at The Grand Del Mar resort in San Diego, southern California, US.
Jim Croghan has amassed more than a decade of spa industry experience within programming and training for a range of southern Californian spas, most recently at the Island Hotel Newport Beach, operated by the Irvine Company.
Croghan - who is also president of the Southern California Spa Directors Association - will be responsible for directing all operations for the resort's 21,000sq ft (1,950sq m) spa, which features 11 treatment rooms for facials, hydrotherapy and massage as well as a beauty salon and an outdoor spa pool. He was also spearhead select fitness and recreational programmes.
