The Extreme Sports Channel, dedicated to the action, adventure and alternative sports genre, will host this year's Gravity Games. The annual event, one of the largest in the world with prize money in excess of $1m, features more than 250 athletes from 17 countries competing in sports such as BMX, aggressive inline skating, skateboarding, wakeboarding and freestyle motocross. The Games will be broadcast throughout March. 'The Gravity Games is highly respected and considered by many as the extreme sport Olympics,' said head of programming and acquisitions for the Extreme Sports Channel, Andy Warkman. 'This is a fantastic coup for us.'
