Tanya Talreja has been named area spa director for Raison d’Etre at Cascades Spa & Thalasso at Somabay, Egypt.

Talreja has an extensive background in development and pre-opening experience in the luxury spa, salons, wellness, and fitness field around the world, the company said. Her current role as area spa director includes managing a team of around 50 across three spa locations in Soma Bay.

“Developing each wellness property continues to be a long-term goal, turning a client’s spa visualisation into a reality through total solution in a fitness and wellness approach,” said Talreja.

La Residence des Cascades, with a sizeable 7,500sq m (80,729sq ft) spa, will soon become Westin Soma Bay Golf Resort & Spa. The centrepiece of the spa is the 750sq m (8,073sq ft) Thalasso-Tonic hydrotherapy pool, as well as numerous water features. The spa features an array of face, body, water, hair, nail treatments, and will also soon include a healthy spa cuisine and beverage bar.

Talreja also oversees the spa at Kempinski Soma Bay Hotel, the spa at Robinson Club Soma Bay, and other spa desks, cabanas, huts and spaces around the bay that are operated in co-operation with spa consultancy Raison D’Etre.

Talreja takes over for Nikos Kouremenos, who has assumed control of the consultancy’s spa business education division.
