| ISPA Conference & Expo kicks off tomorrow in Las Vegas |

International spa industry professionals are descending upon Las Vegas for the 2016 ISPA Conference & Expo, set to take place starting tomorrow, 13 September, through 15 September. The three-day event includes speakers and networking events, along with an industry tradeshow that showcases the latest in skincare, spa equipment, spa furniture and more. This year’s event will feature keynote presentations from University of Houston research professor Dr Brené Brown leadership expert Simon Sinek, as well as musician Five For Fighting, who will receive the Alex Szekely Humanitarian Award. Last year’s event – the industry’s 25th – attracted 2,300 people attendees, along with 243 exhibitors and sponsors.

ISPA elects new officers

elected chair of the International SPA Association (ISPA), with Todd Hewitt, corporate
director of spa, health clubs and recreation with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, elected as
vice chair.

US spa Industry reaches record US$16.3bn revenue mark

The International Spa Association (ISPA) has released its annual findings of spa industry
financial indicators, reporting that the industry continues to experience steady growth with
increases in overall revenue, locations, number of spa visits, and revenue per visit.
