Lindsay Madden-Nadeau and Aldina Duarte Ramos will both remain with Accor after the company’s acquisition of FRHI earlier this year, working under the well-being umbrella of Accor’s luxury division. Madden-Nadeau has been named director of well-being for Raffles, Fairmont and MGallery, and Duarte Ramos is director of well-being for Sofitel, Swissôtel and Pullman. They will both assist Andrew Gibson – who was named vice president, well-being, luxury brands for Accor earlier this year – in overseeing and directing the innovation and implementation of concepts for well-being within their respective brands. Madden-Nadeau's was previously global director of spa operations and integrations for FRHI, and Duarte Ramos oversaw wellbeing product, luxury and upscale brands for Accor. "My goal is to establish AccorHotels as 'the' leader in the luxury segment; to do this, we need innovators with proven expertise to drive our key business areas, like the increasingly important wellness sector," said Chris Cahill, AccorHotels' CEO of luxury brands. "Andrew is a visionary and leading voice in the area of wellness and he brings a track record of success. Under his experienced guidance, we look forward to exceeding the expectations of our discerning guests seeking well-being experiences."

Accor to buy FRHI in US$2.9bn deal

Paris-based AccorHotels will buy FRHI – the owner of Raffles, Fairmont and Swissotel – for
approximately US$2.9bn (€2.6bn, £1.9bn) in cash and shares. Accor operates Sofitel,
Pullman, Novotel and ibis brands, among others, and has around 3,800 properties –
nearly 500 of which are luxury and upscale.

FRHI appoints Lindsay Madden-Nadeau as director of spa integration and operations

Lindsay Madden-Nadeau has been appointed as director of spa integration and
operations at FRHI. Working alongside Andrew Gibson, FRHI’s vice president of
spa and wellness, Madden-Nadeau will act as a support for the company’s spas
globally across the three brands of Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel.
