Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Fort Lauderdale, designed by architect Kobi Karp with interiors by Tara Bernerd, boasts a $35m (€32m, £27m) penthouse with a rooftop putting green.

Developed by Four Seasons in collaboration with Fort Partners, the 22-storey oceanfront development is aimed at reflecting "the very best of beachfront living" and will comprise 148 guest rooms and 83 private residences when it opens in 2021.

Guests and residents will have access to a third-floor terrace with two pools, luxury cabanas and views out over the ocean, as well as a spa and fitness centre, a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a kids' centre.

The residences themselves will range in size from one to four bedrooms and from 780sq ft (72sq m) to more than 6,000sq ft (560sq m) – with the exception of the penthouse.

The so-called SkyHome will cover nearly 19,000sq ft (1,800sq m), including a 7,000sq ft (650sq m) private rooftop park with a pool and putting green, a private fitness centre, a home theatre and a wine-tasting space with temperature-controlled storage.

From a functional perspective, it will offer large walk-in closets, a private laundry room and a private elevator entry to ensure discretion, while the owners will also have access to Four Seasons' services, such as a beach butler, yachting services and a pet concierge with an on-call veterinarian.
