King's Mansion will be a homage to the heritage of India and Ayurvedic philosophy, juxtaposed with evidence-based science
– Nigel Franklyn
King's Mansion, the upcoming integrative wellness destination in northern Goa, India, has unveiled details about its launch programmes ahead of its Q2 2021 opening.

Set along the shores of the Arabian Sea, the 17-suite luxury wellness centre will offer packages with an intricate blend of evidence-based, scientific research and Ayurvedic medicine at their core – described as an Ayurgenomic approach.

Ranging from seven to 21 days in length, the launch programmes will hone in on revitalisation, sports science and movement, medical aesthetics, weight management and detox.

Behind the King’s Mansion project are Indian entrepreneur, Sachiin Joshi, chair of Viiking Ventures, which works across various industries including film production, fin-tech and charter aviation; Moss Wellness, a leading spa consultancy with experience developing international five-star brands including Aman and Four Seasons; and Rajiv Parekh, founder of Red Architects.

Moss Wellness co-founder, Nigel Franklyn, told Spa Business that the destination will be one-of-a-kind and offer “a homage to the heritage of India and Ayurvedic philosophy, juxtaposed with evidence-based science”.

A highlight of the offering will be the 14-day Shodhana and eight-day Kshipra Shodhana detoxification packages – both of which are guided by the destination’s pioneering Ayurgenomics concept.

Guests will undergo pre-arrival genomic testing to determine any existing health conditions or predispositions, and to inform King’s Mansion wellness specialists on how to tailor guests’ schedule.

The programme is complete with daily consultations with the in-house Ayurvedic doctor and nutritionist, as well as Ayurvedic treatments.

Guests will also benefit from one results-focused facial therapy and two body treatments during their stay, along with daily activities, including yoga, evening lectures, meditation, and workshops to help build the foundations of a new, balanced lifestyle.

King's Mansion has also unveiled the Rasayana package, consisting of a seven-night rejuvenation programme.

The schedule will also include pre-arrival genomic testing with daily consultations and treatments, but will additionally feature daily IV infusions combined with LED laser therapy using a patented compound created especially for King’s Mansion.

Franklyn explained that the therapy combination offers improved benefits when compared against standard light therapy, faster results and deeper penetration.

Rasayana guests will also be able to opt for daily private meditation sessions with an expert local instructor.

Remaining programmes will be focused on sports science and movement, medical aesthetics and weight management, offering a more science-based approach.

All packages at King’s Mansion will be supplemented by a personalised menu of Ayurvedic wellness food from King’s Mansion’s executive chef.

More about the destination
King’s Mansion will feature a host of wellness facilities, including a five-treatment room European-style spa, sports science lab, Ayurvedic Centre with 12 traditional treatment suites – eight of which are ocean-side – plus an Aesthetic Medicine Centre with four treatment rooms, where guests will be offered preventive and restorative aesthetics treatments.

The spa menu will feature international, relaxing and physio-based massage therapies; experiential facial treatments; and European results-focused facial treatments – practised by an internationally-trained team of therapists.

Guests will also be offered access to Vichy water massages, crystal body massages, age-defying facials, chakra balancing,
a large hydrotherapy pool and luxurious indoor and outdoor relaxation areas.
