Spa Life UK releases speaker line-up for in-person event in July 2021
POSTED 25 May 2021 . BY Megan Whitby
Spa Life UK's conference schedule has been designed to help reconnect and inspire the spa industry

For an industry built on relationships, the convention will provide the perfect environment for our community to reconnect
– Andrew Hammond
Spa Life UK is scheduled for 12-13 July 2021 at Wyboston Lakes, Bedfordshire, and will feature talks from industry figures including UK Spa Association (UKSA) GM Yvonne Ebdon and Sustainable Spa Association co-founder Lucy Brialey.

Founded in 2010, the event offers a combination of networking opportunities, dedicated meetings, exposure to new product innovations, and management education over the two days. Annual industry accolades The Good Spa Guide Awards will also be presented at the event.

“For an industry built on relationships, the convention will provide the perfect environment for our community to reconnect, build mutually beneficial relationships and review the latest trends in a relaxed yet professional environment,” said Spa Life director and founder Andrew Hammond.

Hammond revealed the conference schedule will be split into two streams – Leadership post-COVID and Sustainability – and focus on issues that present the most consistent challenges for senior spa professionals.

So far, the speaker line-up includes:
  • Adam Chatterley – UKSA chair and The Beauty Business Coach: Three key challenges facing the modern spa manager

  • Brian Dunne – MD of GiftCard Solutions: New acquisition trends for the UK’s emerging consumer demographic

  • Claire Humphreys – head of local deals at Travelzoo: What online spa seekers want and how to reach them

  • Graeme McKinnon – CEO of Why Leadership: Putting Leadership into practice

  • James Bagley – CEO OTO CBD Skincare: Illuminating the world of cannabidiol (CBD)

  • Lauren Gibson – corporate wellness consultant: What the corporate world exempts from a wellness programme

  • Lucy Brialey – co-founder of Sustainable Spa Association: How to lead your business to a sustainable future

  • Penny Weston – CEO Moddershall Oaks Country Retreat & Spa: How to connect with your wellness audience online

  • Yvonne Ebdon – UKSA GM: Three key questions to answer before changing your product brand.

Hammond is confident the conference programme will “empower spa leaders to face challenges ahead” through a combination of strong market intelligence and case studies of how the sector has successfully adapted to changing consumer attitudes and alternative distribution channels.

More details on the programme and speakers can be found on the event’s official website.
