Yorkshire-based luxury hotel operator Ashdale Hotels has appointed Imagine Spa Management to operate two of its day spas in the UK.
The deal will see Imagine take over the management of spas at Hazlewood Castle near Leeds and Dower House at Knaresborough, increasing the number of spas operated by Imagine Spa Management to 15. Imagine is part of the Fitness Express group.
The spa at Hazlewood Castle features four treatment rooms - located in the original stable block - while the spa at The Dower House is still under construction.
When it opens in January 2010, the spa will boast four treatment rooms, hammam, aromatherapy bath, thermal suite, relaxation room and spa dining area. The hotel's existing health club will also be refurbished.
"This is the third spa project in which we have invested", said Imagine's managing director Dave Courteen.
"Ashdale Hotels are a great client to work with and in both these spas we enjoy a profit share relationship with them - so we are both focussed on the success of the spas".
