China Fleet Country Club opens new Aqua Spa addition
POSTED 12 Dec 2013 . BY Chris Dodd
The opening now sees China Fleet able to offer guests the use of leading thermal technologies
The China Fleet Country Club in Saltash, Cornwall has unveiled the addition of its new Aqua Spa, following £500,000-worth of renovation works to its on-site water facilities.

The opening now sees China Fleet able to offer guests the use of leading thermal technologies, with the spa making use of a laconium and Finnish sauna.

The site features salt and aroma steam rooms too, making use of progressive technologies, with its salt steam room using an injection system to create air reminiscent to that experienced on tropical beaches.

Guests can also treat themselves to an experience in an ice chute, where ice flakes are used to help stimulate circulation. Other features include tropical and cold experience showers, a relaxation area, a teppideriam, foot spas and a spa pool.

The facility’s rooms are illuminated with soft coloured lighting that is complimented by a choice of natural tiles, designed to create a warm ambient atmosphere for visiting guests.

The Aqua Spa joins the club’s existing Barn Spa, which offers guests the use of six treatment rooms, providing a range of beauty and skincare therapies.

The country club has a long history, having been born in Hong Kong, to help benefit the serving ratings and other ranks of the Royal Navy.

The trust opened a club on the 180-acre Saltash site in England in 1991, with the Hong Kong club closing down prior to the Chinese takeover of the island in 1992. The trust continues to serve members of the Royal Navy, along with their immediate families too, who are all members by right.

More information on the China Fleet Country Club and its Aqua Spa is available here.
