Luxury Thai wellness resort Chiva-Som in Hua Hin, Thailand has announced it will reopen its doors on 12 June 2020, following closure due to the global pandemic.

As Thailand gradually eases its lockdown, the resort is making preparations for operations to resume, in accordance with local government guidelines and advice.

Chiva-Som is reopening with heightened hygiene measures to protect both staff and guests. Upon arrival, guests will require COVID-19 testing and temperature checks and during their stay will be provided with unlimited complimentary hand sanitiser and masks.

Staff will regularly deep clean guest rooms, disinfecting all resort and spa equipment and social distancing - as needed.

“We’re reopening with a mission to enhance our services further, at a time when it is essential to feel safe. Staying well is the key to combating future viral attacks. The world will never be the same, but wellness is here to stay,” said Krip Rojanastien, chair and CEO of Chiva-Som.

"Even during our closure, we have made the wellness of our guests our priority and adapted our services to offer wellness support online.”

Chiva-Som has also announced that after reopening it will unveil new wellness journeys specifically targeted towards post-lockdown concerns from a spiritual, mental and physical health perspective.

During the resort's period of closure, the resort has continued to support and encourage individuals to maintain wellness goals through the launch of Chiva-Som Online Wellness Services, to provide live one-on-one professional wellness consultations, physiotherapy and personal training.

Founded in 1993, the 54-room resort provides a personalised wellness experience through a holistic approach, incorporating mind, body and spirit, to bring a healing balance to individuals’ lifestyles.
