The deadline for companies and individuals to submit bids for the 27 hotels in the von Essen portfolio closes next week (12 July 2011).
The properties were put up for sale by Alan Robert Bloom, Angela Swarbrick and Christopher Marsden, the joint administrators of the troubled von Essen Hotels. Leisure property specialist Christie + Co was appointed to handle the process.
It is thought that the agent has received more than 200 expressions of interest for the hotels, which include a number of luxury spas.
