Doctor knows best
POSTED 12 Oct 2011 . BY Dean Fox
When it comes to beauty and wellbeing, demand for fast and long lasting results has led to the rise of the medi-spa. Spas which bring together the treatments of a clinic and the atmosphere of a spa, all under the supervision of a medical doctor are now leading in aesthetic innovations.

Medi-spa menus vary significantly but you can normally expect cosmetic surgery, laser treatments, IPL treatments, microdermabrasion, injectables like Botox and fillers, chemical peels and even teeth whitening.

To enlighten us on the latest innovations in medi-spa, one of the UK’s leading experts in cosmetic and non surgical procedures, Dr Aamer Khan of the Harley Street Skin Clinic, will be speaking at the UK Spa & Wellness Conference. Dr Khan, who is renowned for his finely tuned aesthetic eye and subtle approach to cosmetic enhancements, will present a review of the popular medi-spa trends that are being witnessed at the premium end of the market in the UK and which will filter into main stream spa services in the medium-to-short term.

With over 50 different procedures on offer, Dr Khan’s clinic has built a world class reputation specialising in minimally invasive treatments for facelift, fat transfer for natural breast enhancement and skin repair in addition to tailor made, customized skincare. He has also developed a number of no-knife options that give significant, long-lasting results in reducing the visible signs of ageing. Whether it’s a French Lift, Fraxel Repair, Cinderella Lips or a No Knife Nose Job, Dr Khan will shed some light and opportunities on this growth area of spa.

Tickets for the UK's largest spa conference and networking event which takes place on Wednesday 9th November 2011 at Center Parcs, Elveden are available from www.spaconference.co.uk; or contact Mike on 08707 804490 or email
