ESPA Life partners with VIVA Mayr Clinic at Corinthia Hotel London

ESPA Life at Corinthia Hotel London is partnering with Austrian-based medi-spa VIVA Mayr Clinic from June 2014 onwards to offer treatment plans all based on the Modern Mayr Medical Philosophy – a fasting and intestinal cleansing programme developed by Dr Franz Xaver Mayr at the turn of the last century.

Located within the 294-key Victorian Corinthia Hotel London, ESPA Life is a 3,300sq m (305,521sq ft) spa spread across four floors, featuring a team of naturopaths, dieticians, acupuncturists, osteopaths, physiotherapists, sports masseurs, personal fitness trainers and beauty therapists.

From June, the spa will be known as ESPA Life VIVA Med and its ESPA services will be supplemented by treatments from founders of the VIVA Mayr Clinic doctors Christine and Harald Stossier – both of whom are qualified general practitioners. Both doctors will be on-site for 60-minute individual medical consultations including applied kinesiology – testing the muscles to diagnose disease, plus orthomolecular testing – the evaluation of overall health based on blood tests, as well as nutritional advice, lifestyle and recommended complementary treatments.

VIVA Mayr gut treatments will be added to ESPA Life’s existing vitamin supplementation programmes, such as slimming, detox, biological age reduction, fertility, post and pre-natal treatments and a range of beauty and massage therapies.

“Our revolutionary generation of spa at Corinthia London advocates a wellness concept based on prevention and lifestyle so our partnership with VIVA Mayr is a perfect marriage of philosophies,” said Sue Harmsworth, founder and CEO of ESPA.

The Maria Worth VIVA Mayr Clinic in Austria is currently undergoing temporary renovations.

Corinthia London is the ninth of the Corinthia Hotel collection's five-star hotels founded by the Pisani family of Malta. It is home to three restaurants and a hair salon by Daniel Galvin.
