Details of the first Spa-Hotel Education Day and the parameters for the first Student Spa Strategy Challenge, have been announced.

Both will be held in conjunction with the 2009 Global Spa Summit, the annual gathering for spa and wellness industry executives from around the world.

The Summit will host a dedicated Spa-Hotel Education Day for spa and hotel managers at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland on 20 May.

Meanwhile, for the ‘Student Strategy Challenge’, three leading hospitality schools will compete to develop new, feasible and innovative spa concepts targeting the emerging 21-to-30-year-old market.

The three schools are the French Institut de Management Hôtelier International, the Swiss-based Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, and the US-based Cornell University. Details: globalspasummit.org
