Four Seasons Hotel George V to unveil new spa
POSTED 15 Jun 2018 . BY Jane Kitchen
The new Le Spa is spread over 720sq m s (7,750sq ft), and has been designed by Parisian interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon
The iconic Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris will officially unveil its new Le Spa this July, after an extensive renovation that includes a new 17m (55ft) swimming pool, vitality pool with hydromassage water experience circuit, a 90sq m (970sq ft) fitness room, and new results-driven treatments.

The new Le Spa is spread over 720sq m s (7,750sq ft), and has been designed by Parisian interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, who has drawn inspiration from ancient spa traditions.

The space includes six treatment rooms and is bright, modern and elegant, using a colour palette of light grey and silver tones. Inspiration from Greek, Roman and Turkish mosaic patterns lies alongside curated pieces of modern art and floral compositions designed by Jeff Leatham.

“We meticulously selected materials, furniture and pieces of art that embody the spirit codes and harmony of the hotel, both classic and resolutely contemporary," said Rochon.

As part of the new spa, a selection of brand new signature experiences has also been developed. Highlights include a Kobido traditional Japanese facelift, an Alaena organic certified bio anti-ageing treatment, and a Dr Burgener escape designed especially for Le Spa.

The Kobido Japanese facelift has been created by Dr Shogo Mochizuki, and is based on the oldest facial tradition in Japan, dating back to 1472, when it was used exclusively for imperials and nobility.

The Breath of Life face and body treatment from organic skincare brand Alaena has been created by Dr Sylvie Peres, and is inspired by tui na, a therapeutic art of Chinese Medicine, using patented active ingredients to boost cells rejuvenation and impart an anti-ageing effect.

And a George V Escape has been created by Dr Pauline Burgener of the Swiss luxury skincare brand Dr Burgener, a customised treatment combining a chardonnay body scrub, a massage with Champagne oil, and a facial harnessing the antioxidant power of gold, chardonnay and green caviar. A sweet treat of a Four Seasons Hotel George V macaron and a glass of Champagne complete the Parisian experience.

In addition to these results-driven signature treatments, Le Spa offers a range of Swiss Perfection therapies. The spa is also equipped with eight Gharieni MO1 spa tables.

"Focusing on results-orientated, non-invasive, manual skincare techniques has been key in my approach to offering our guests the very best in unique, made-to-measure, innovative skincare solutions," said Nathalie Delclos, spa director.

The 90sq m (970sq ft) fitness centre offers a selection of cardiovascular equipment designed by Technogym for Le Spa, with chrome-plated equipment, including treadmills, bikes, ascent trainers, elliptical, and a rowing machine. A 7m (23ft) long screen transports guests to the great outdoors with an interactive movie about nature.

"We are delighted to introduce Le Spa, a contemporary space of style and serenity in the heart of the city,” said Jean-Claude Wietzel, general manager.
