Gloria Ah Sam has been named spa director at the Four Seasons Resort Lana’i in Hawaii, US, and will be responsible for overseeing daily spa operations, fitness facilities and the resort’s Yoga and Wellness programme.
Ah Sam joins Four Seasons Resort Lanai most recently from the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in California, but has worked at other Hawaiian resorts previously, including Halekulani and Abhasa Spa at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
The spa at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai has recently undergone renovations, and a new spa menu features treatments reflecting authentic Hawaiian rituals, including the Hawaiian Spa Ritual Journeys honouring the Makai and Mauka regions of the islands.
The 11-treatment room spa features a clean, contemporary design, incorporating natural wood found throughout the islands and a slate reception desk. Rich wall textures are complemented by materials reflecting the hues and tones on Lanai, anchored by Hawaiian artwork.
The spa includes men’s and women’s red-cedar, dry-heat saunas; eucalyptus steamrooms and rainforest showers.
