Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has announced the completion of the first phase of the 322-unit Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach Wyndham Grand Resort, the brand's first new build project in Hawaii.
Phase one - which began in June 2008 - includes the opening of 85 villas, lagoon pools, a fitness centre and shops. The project will ultimately will include one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residences, with the second phase expected to begin in May 2011.
The property is owned by Salt Lake City-based Poipu Beach Villas LLC, managed by Azul Hospitality Group of San Diego and the general contractor is Utah-based Layton Construction.
Upon completion, Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach Wyndham Grand Resort will feature a central pool with water slide, sand bottom area, cascading waterfalls and swim-through grotto, lagoon-style pools, several hot tubs, a fitness center, a day spa and a poolside bar and grill.
