JW Marriott to open resort in the Maldives

The resort will have 29 one- and two-bedroom beach villas and 32 overwater villas set on stilts over the Laccadive Sea
JW Marriott has announced a new location in the Maldives, due to open in November 2018. Located on the island of Vagaru, Shaviyani Atoll, the JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa will include 61 villas, each with a private pool, as well as a treetop restaurant and a Spa by JW.

The Spa by JW will feature six treatments rooms, one Royal Treatment Suite, a gym, yoga pavilion and beauty salon.

The resort will have 29 one- and two-bedroom beach villas and 32 overwater villas set on stilts over the Laccadive Sea, as well as one four-bedroom Royal Water Villa that will come with a nanny’s quarters.

An on-site water sports and dive centre will host an on-site marine biologist, and will offer deep-sea fishing, sailing excursions, parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking, line-fishing, kite surfing, diving and more.
