Jaideep Anand named general manager of Ananda in the Himalayas

Jaideep Anand has been named general manager of Ananda in the Himalayas, the 24,000sq ft (2,230sq m) destination spa located in the Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, India.

With more than 20 years of experience in industry, Anand has joined Ananda Spa from his previous role as general manager of Ista Hyderabad - part of the IHHR Hospitality-owned luxury chain.

Anand also worked as director of operations at Pepsico Restaurants Int, as well as holding positions at The Park Hotels in New Delhi and The Radisson in Noida among others.

IHHR Hospitality also owns Ananda in the Himalayas and chair Gautam Khanna said the appointment of Anand would help drive the destination spa forward.

Khanna said: "Jaideep will be instrumental in leading the Ananda team in continuing to provide exceptional standards of service and helping develop our holistic philosophy."

Ananda in the Himalayas boasts 24 treatments and offers an extensive menu of treatments integrating Ayurveda and contemporary Western spa concepts.

The spa also runs programmes overseen by Ayurvedic doctors and therapists in order to help deliver weight loss, healing and rejuvenation.
