Dubai-based Jumeirah Group has revealed plans to manage a private island resort and spa near the island of Phuket in Thailand.

The Phuket Private Island Resort is located on the tropical island of Koh Raet, north east of Phuket Island and is scheduled for completion in late 2008.

The resort and spa will be located on 602,778sq ft (56,000sq m) of untouched private land and feature 65 pool villas with private infinity pools as well as 12 residential villa.

Elsewhere within the Jumeirah Group, there are plans to launch two more own-brand Talise spas in 2009 in Qatar and Jordan with further sites in both Thailand and Bermuda launching later that year.

The rollout of Talise is part of Jumeirah’s plans to expand its portfolio to 57 hotels and resorts by the end of 2011.
