Mandarin Oriental to manage New York residences overlooking Central Park

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced an agreement to brand and manage 69 residences located on Fifth Avenue New York, scheduled for completion in 2021.

Mandarin Oriental Residences at 685 Fifth Avenue are being developed in a 1920's building on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 54th Street.

The private homes will offer a variety of facilities including a Mandarin Oriental spa, fully equipped gym, a library and lounge on the top floor of the building with views over Central Park, and a rooftop pool with cabanas and lounge beds.

“This prestigious Fifth Avenue location will attract sophisticated residents with a high expectation for fitness and wellness amenities to support their active lifestyle,” Jeremy McCarthy, group director of spa and wellness for Mandarin Oriental. “The facilities will include a state-of-the art fitness centre and movement studio, as well as spa and beauty suites where residents can experience treatments from the best therapists and stylists in the city.”

The owners and developers of the project are SHVO, BLG Capital and Deutsche Finance America.
