Luxury lakeside retreat The Ritz-Carlton-Reynolds, Lake Oconee in Georgia, US, is gearing up to unveil its new-look destination spa this May following a comprehensive makeover.

Spanning 27,000sq ft, the newly renovated spa will feature entirely redesigned spaces plus new fitness, beauty and wellness programming.

The spa will feature 19 treatment rooms, a steamroom, saunas, an 8,000sq ft indoor pool, a gym featuring solo, group and 24/7 on-demand training and a new beauty salon offering eco-friendly nail services, hair styling, makeup services and more.

Inspired by the beauty of its lakeside environment, the spa will be characterised by a neutral, soothing design featuring rich wood tones and natural stone and marble to create an atmosphere of warmth and comfort throughout the space.

Design elements – including neutral textured walls, mosaic tiles, grey oak and pops of deep rich green – will pay tribute to the natural splendour of the resort’s surroundings.

Guests will have access to a detailed spa menu offering personalised body treatments including body wraps, masks and scrubs, specialised massages that cater to all types of wellness goals and custom-tailored facials.

The spa will be partnered with Zents, Espa, Eminence Organic Skin Care, Dr. Dennis Gross, Red Flower and London Town, as well as Living Earth Crafts and the innovative new service supplied by Geneo – the Glo2Facial.

The spa menu will be refreshed with new signature treatments inspired by the elements, each designed to provide a unique sensory experience and a nod to its lakeside destination.
Programming highlights will include:

Forest & Clay Restoration: This treatment will use a combo clay body scrub and an abstract CBG shroom wrap to draw out impurities, detox the body and ground the mind. While wrapped, guests will enjoy a relaxing scalp, foot and shoulder massage while the body uses its own natural heat to draw out impurities and hydrate the skin.

Botanical Renewal: An 80-minute treatment designed to stimulate blood flow and invigorate the body through a scent journey that fills the air. This wellness journey will include the layering of seven natural and organic floral scents (inspired by the flora and fauna of Lake Oconee) through a body wash, scrub, soft body buff, nourishing silk cream and mineral foot soak.

Deep Rest Therapy: A 50-minute treatment designed to promote deep rest includes a back, neck, scalp and foot massage with relaxing lavender essential oils and an anti-anxiety weighted blanket to induce a deep restful state. Tech is at the forefront of this treatment, with Therabody smart goggles used to receive biofeedback from the body for a heated eye and temple massage for further deep relaxation.

Complementing the reinvigorated spa offerings, The Ritz-Carlton property will also invite guests to experience holistic wellness activities with a rotating schedule of wellness-centric activities including water meditation, lakeside yoga, guided hikes and more.

For a deeper wellness journey, the spa offering will be topped up with a dedicated wellness retreat in 2025 for a multiday wellness workshop with curated spa treatments, wellness activities, keynote speakers and more.
