Pezula gains five star golf course
POSTED 28 Feb 2006 . BY
The five star Pezula resort Hotel and Spa, South Africa, is now home to one of South Africa’s finest golf courses.

Golfplan USA’s Ron Fream and David Dale designed the 18-hole Pezula championship golf course.

The Clubhouse facilities include a terrace, restaurant, bar, private lounge and library, pro shop and a short game practice area, golf carts come with GPS and computerised scoring; all the facilities are in keeping with the hotel and spa and in February 2005 Complete Golfer rated it a Five Star Golf Experience.

Guests of the hotel benefit from reduced green fees, these start at R425 (approx £35). Golfers are required to book in advance and are expected to have a handicap. Tournaments are run throughout the year and there are golf packages, which are tailored to the golfers individual needs.

The hotel is comprised of 78 suites in individual lodges, all of which are fully equipped with a mini kitchen offering a fully stocked fridge. Executive chef Geoffrey Murray who uses local organic produce heads the Hotel’s restaurant, Zachary’s.

The resort has an award winning spa which boasts a gym, a 12m indoor pool, sauna, steamroom, sun-beds, nail bar, hair salon, juice bar and nine secluded treatment rooms, offering a diverse range of treatments.

Guests can also charter the hotels private helicopter or 8-seater jet.
