A new international beauty, spa, health and wellness show – PhilBeauty 2014 – will take place from 28-30 August at the SMX Convention Centre in Pasay City, Metro Manila, in the Philippines.

The three-day trade fair will feature more than 200 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors have been invited from various countries around the world.

Organised by Kuala Lumpur-based AMB Events, the fair will include a vast array of industry segments such as aesthetics, plastic surgery services, aromatherapy, cosmetics, anti-ageing products, body art, dietary consultancy, fitness and health equipment, hair care training, health food supplements, massage equipment, nail art, spa and wellness resorts and weight management services.

This all-in-one event will showcase a spa management seminar, a make-up competition, a hair design masters class and a hair design competition and show.

The exhibition hopes to update the beauty, spa, health and wellness sectors on global trends and innovative technologies.

The Filipino cosmetic industry registers an average of 7.7 per cent growth-rate annually, with revenues reaching up to more than US$2bn (€1.4bn, £1.2bn), according to the show’s organisers. The personal care market in the Philippines increased in value by four per cent in 2012 and this growth is expected to continue.
