This year’s winners of the Professional Beauty awards have been announced at the annual Awards Dinner – held during the Professional Beauty 2005 trade show – on 28 February.
Among this year’s UK winners was Pennyhill Park spa in Bagshot, Surrey, which beat competition from the Celtic Manor in Newport and Ragdale Hall in Melton Mowbray to land the Best Destination Spa award.
The title of Best UK Hotel Spa was awarded to the Utopia Spa at the Rowhill Grange in Dartford.
Aghadoe Heights Hotel in Killarney, Ireland, made it to the final three in the Best Euro Spa category, but lost out to Varbergs Kurort Hotell & Spa, located in southern Sweden.
Amida Spa in Twickenham was awarded the Best UK Day Spa accolade, with Breathing Space in Harpenden, Hertfordshire and The Academy Spa in Harrogate also making it into the top three.
The three-day trade show was held at London’s ExCel and attracted over 44,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors.
