A new “Pink” section highlights family-friendly spas and wellness services for expectant mothers and children
Dallarda’s personal experience with maternity inspired the focus on pre- and post-natal wellness, advocating for broader accessibility
Spa industry figure Raffaella Dallarda has unveiled her latest 352-page book, E-SPAnsiva, showcasing 50 of Italy’s top spas while celebrating the nation’s rich wellness culture and emerging trends.

The second edition of E-SPAnsiva, published by Forbes and Robb Report, offers a unique and interactive exploration of Italy’s diverse spa experiences.

Through QR codes, videos and in-depth specialist comments, the guide highlights various types of spa destinations ranging from forest retreats and geothermal havens to more unconventional settings such as spas in stables and historic ex-casinos.

Dallarda, a globally recognised wellness specialist, blogger and certified naturopath and physiotherapist, has dedicated her career to discovering and promoting spa cultures worldwide. She officially launched the updated guide today at the 2024 Wellness Hospitality Conference in Milan, attended by an audience of global spa operators, hoteliers, architects, press and industry leaders.

Women’s health in focus
A standout feature of the publication is the newly-introduced Pink chapter, which champions family-friendly spas and wellness tailored to expectant mothers and children.

Inspired by Dallarda’s personal journey – becoming a mother at 50 and navigating a challenging pregnancy – this section sheds light on the critical role of wellness for maternal and child health.

"Becoming a mother at 50 was a profound journey that opened my eyes to the gaps in wellness for pregnant women and children,” Dallarda shared. “The Pink section was born from this experience – a tribute to the nurturing, restorative power of spas and a call to create spaces where families and mothers-to-be feel truly cared for."

The pink chapter emphasises holistic wellness approaches, including postpartum care, preventive health protocols and maternity-focused services. By advocating for accessibility beyond luxury settings, Dallarda aims to make wellness a universal priority for families everywhere.
