Ritz-Carlton plans luxury Irish resort

Ritz-Carlton Hotels has announced plans to develop its first hotel in Ireland – a five-star golf and spa resort near Dublin.

Scheduled to open in 2006, the 203-room resort will be known as The Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt, County Wicklow.

Located within the 1,000-acre Powerscourt Estate, which overlooks Sugarloaf Mountain, the hotel will feature a 30,000sq ft (2,800sq m) E’Spa, four restaurants and lounges plus meeting space for up to 1,000 people. Details: www.ritzcarlton.com
