The Sense of Touch Southside will be the third hotel spa the company has operated
Day spa locations in Hong Kong, also run by the company, include Sense of Touch Wan Chai, Sense of Touch Central and Sense of Touch Wellness Hub
Asian spa operations company, Sense of Touch, has partnered with The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong to deliver treatments at the property’s newly rebranded Sense of Touch Southside spa.

Sense of Touch brings with it a client base of more than 50,000 people, including those local to the hotel and the city’s Southern District.

Sense of Touch’s CEO, Neil Orvay, told Spa Business: "Sense of Touch has established such a strong client base, having operated a day spa at upmarket leisure destination The Repulse Bay, also in the South Side, for 15 years."

When asked how Sense of Touch would boost business for The Fullerton, Orvay added: “By reopening on the South Side, we will be able to service these clients again at a destination location of the highest quality.

"Sense of Touch brings 23 years of local spa and wellness knowledge and experience to The Fullerton," Orvay added. "Over time, we shall introduce both technical and treatment innovations to position Sense of Touch South Side at the Fullerton to be Hong Kong's number one spa location!"

The new treatments using advanced technology will include the introduction of LPG’s Cellu M6 Infinity. The device, which launched earlier this year, has seven patents in place, offering firming, anti-ageing and lymphatic drainage massage treatments for the face and body.

Adopting advanced technology into treatments is just one of the ways Sense of Touch has adapted its business. Orvay reflected on the company’s evolution: "Sense of Touch is a home-grown Hong Kong brand. We started in October 2002, just five months before the SARS outbreak and it's fair to say we've had good times and difficult times. One thing we have never lost sight of – and I believe what has been core to our survival and success – is that we have always stayed close to the community.

“We love Hong Kong and we care about our clients,” added Orvay. “This partnership with Fullerton couldn't have happened at a better time. Hong Kong is finally finding its feet again on the global stage. By partnering with a regionally renowned brand such as the Fullerton, this allows Sense of Touch to continue to service our Hong Kong clientele at the highest level."

Sense of Touch Southside

The Sense of Touch Southside is located on the fifth floor of the Fullerton and has four treatment rooms: two singles and two couples’ suites. The spa has floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the South China Sea.

Thermal facilities include a hot tub, vitality pool, sauna and steamroom.

Sense of Touch spa locations

The Sense of Touch Southside will be the third hotel spa the company has operated, following contracts that ran for 14 years at the Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East in Tseung Kwan O and three years at Le Meridien Hong Kong in Cyberport.

In addition to the spa at The Fullerton, day spa locations include Sense of Touch Wan Chai, Sense of Touch Central and Sense of Touch Wellness Hub.

Treatments that incorporate technology at these spas include the use of radio frequency rejuvenation device Exilis Ultra 360 by BTL Aesthetics and Korean-manufactured Liftera V by Asterasys – for non-surgical lifting and tightening treatments.

There are also options for hyperbaric oxygen facial treatments, using negatively charged oxygen ions to improve signs of ageing.

The spas also use products by Hydrafacial, Comfort Zone, Five Senses and Finessence.
