Six Senses unveils new Soneva Kiri resort
POSTED 10 Dec 2009 . BY Pete Hayman
Six Senses Resorts and Spas has expanded its portfolio with the launch of its new Soneva Kiri resort on the island of Koh Kood, one of the largest islands off the coast of Thailand.

Soneva Kiri by Six Senses comprises 29 pool villas and suites situated along the beachfront and the hillside overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, as well as a 1,850sq ft (172 sq m) Six Senses Spa featuring 11 double treatment rooms.

Four of the treatment rooms have been specifically designed for the signature SLOW LIFE Spa Journeys, which use locally sourced ingredients and include mud therapy, bamboo shower and watsu therapy.

In addition to a range of massages, the resort also offers an infrared sauna, a steamroom, a juice bar serving herbal drinks and juices and a beauty salon providing hair treatments, as well as a range of wellness activities.

Soneva Kiri's facilities also include a dive and training centre, a fitness centre, a range of watersports, restaurants, tennis courts and The Den, which offers a number of creative experiences for children, as well as Cinema Paradiso.

Guests are transported between Bangkok International Airport and the resort's private airport on an adjacent island to Koh Kood by private plane, before a speedboat completes the trip.
