Sofitel continues Le Spa rollout in Los Angeles

Sofitel has opened its latest Le Spa wellness facility at its new hotel in Los Angeles, US.

The 295-bedroom hotel is located on the corner of the La Cienaga and Beverly Boulevards and has been renovated at a cost of more than US$40m (31m euro, £20.9m).

Covering 5,000sq ft (465sq m), LeSpa has been created with ‘global beauty in mind’ and will offer a wide variety of seasonal treatments utilising produce fresh from the local Californian surroundings alongside products from spa partners Decléor and Carita.

Facilities will include two spa suites, six treatment rooms, one outdoor cabana, two mani- and pedicure stations, a Serenity lounge, male and female steamrooms, a co-ed sauna and Chromacolour tubs featuring LED light therapy for hydro-thermo massages.

Le Spa will also feature individual tea service and complimentary foot soaks preceding spa treatments.

Spa director at LeSpa is Maureen Schumacher while Yabu Pushelberg was responsible for the design.

The spa will offer a membership programme for guests with unlimited access to SO Fit, the hotels’ fitness centre, with more than 2,500sq ft (232sq m).

Sofitel LA also includes SIMON LA, celebrity chef Kerry Simon’s first restaurant in Los Angeles and the Stone Rose Lounge, nightclub impresario Rande Gerber’s latest venture. Details: www.sofitelLA.com
