Following an extensive six year search, Spa Botanica has made its Japanese debut at Chikusenso Mt Zao Onsen Resort and Spa, at the foot of Mt Zao, near Sendai.

The boutique property is located on 710,420sq ft (66,000sq m) of natural landscape including rivers and a national park.

With 10 treatment rooms, the interiors of the new spa were designed by Hashimoto Yukio Design Studio while the architect was Hitoshi Abe.
