Spa operator Spa Dhara has launched its first day spa resort in Fremont, California, US.

Located within the technology hot spot that is Silicon Valley, the 3,400sq ft (316sq m) Spa Dhara features nine private treatment and hydrotherapy suites; a relaxation lounge; hammam; and a Rhassoul Suite in which guests can enjoy body clay treatments under a "starry sky".

The spa also has an ayurvedic suite - designed according to ancient traditions - with a healing neem wood table (droni).

For couples, Spa Dhara offers a double suite with heated water tables offering chromotherapy for body treatments and a Cleopatra bath.

There is also a dry flotation suite where guests can rest and float in a chromotherapy-based bed with zero gravity.

Other treatments include massages, body wraps, facials, pedicures and waxing with products supplied by Kerstin-Florian, Amala and Sundari.
