The US-headquartered spa service provider Steiner Leisure has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT) through its subsidiary, Virginia Massage Therapy, Inc.
CCMT will be acquired for US$4.2m (2.7m euro, £2.15m) in cash, subject to certain adjustments.
CCMT operates a massage therapy school with three campuses located in Connecticut, US, with an average intake of approximately 500 students.
Steiner’s president and Chief Executive Officer, Leonard Fluxman, said: “This acquisition will further expand our presence in the US within the massage therapy school market.”
Steiner’s operation include spas and salons on 133 cruise ships, and in 48 resort spas, as well as two day spas. Details: steinerleisure.com
