The Chancery Rosewood has been developed by Qatari Diar Europe LLP with architecture by David Chipperfield
The hotel's subterranean Asaya Spa will have five treatment rooms in addition to a 25-metre pool
The property has partnered with an aesthetics clinic, to offer exclusive facials, an IV drip and cosmetic treatments
There will also be a fitness centre at the property with the latest Technogym equipment, including the recently-launched Pilates Reformer (Reform)
After four years in development, The Chancery Rosewood will open in the iconic former US Embassy building on Grosvenor Square in London’s prestigious Mayfair district with an Asaya Spa designed by Yabu Pushelberg.

The building was originally designed in 1960 by Finnish American architect, Eero Saarinen and has been reimagined by David Chipperfield and David Chipperfield Architects

Joseph Dirand has worked on the interior design, including the eight bars and restaurants and the all-suite hotel’s 144 rooms. Even an area intended to be a safe space for diplomats during WWII has been turned into a warm and inviting suite.

Redeveloped by Qatari Diar Europe LLP, the Grade II-listed mid-century property retains the gilded eagle sculpture that perches above the Portland stone façade, which Theodor Roszak sculpted in 1960 with a wingspan of 11 metres.

Spa and facilities
The hotel will have a subterranean Asaya Spa, with five treatment rooms and a 25-metre swimming pool.

There will also be a separate fitness centre with the new Technogym Reformer Pilates range.

Taktouk Clinic aesthetics partnership
Asaya Spa has announced a partnership with the Taktouk Clinic – a centre for dermatological treatments led by Dr Wassim Taktouk.

This will be the first time Taktouk has made his protocols available outside his Knightsbridge clinic.

Described by Rosewood as the first hotel clinic of its kind, the Taktouk Clinic at The Chancery Rosewood will offer hotel guests and Taktouk’s existing clients four new facials:

• The Korean Blast Glacé Facial will combine exfoliation, a cupping massage, LED technology and SkinCeuticals cleansing and hydrating protocols.

• Ultherapy Prime – a non-invasive skin-tightening treatment will use ultrasound to boost collagen and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Rosewood says a single treatment lifts and sculpts the face, neck and décolletage, delivering results that can last over a year.

• Cellu M6 Infinity – this device will offer guests targeted facial treatments for anti-ageing protocols, hydration and preventative therapies. Body treatments using this device provide lymphatic drainage and deep tissue recovery. It can also be used for relaxation and stress reduction.

• Thermage FLX – a non-invasive skin rejuvenation and tightening procedure for the face and body. This treatment smooths periorbital wrinkles (deeper lines around the eye socket) and rhytids (finer lines and minor creases). It can be used on the body as well as the face.

A Rosewood IV drip will also be listed on the menu, addressing jet lag, muscle recovery, sleep and skin radiance concerns.

The clinic will also offer aesthetic injectables, such as anti-wrinkle infusions, dermal fillers and a collagen regeneration biostimulator Juläine.

Magdy Abdelaty, director of wellness, said: “The Chancery Rosewood is honoured to welcome The Taktouk Clinic. Bringing together Dr Wassim Taktouk’s expert dermatology, SkinCeuticals' scientific skincare and the holistic wellness philosophy of Asaya, The Chancery Rosewood is set to provide an exceptional new experience in London this September.”

Dr Wassim Taktouk said, “I’m thrilled Taktouk Clinic is partnering with the visionary team at The Chancery Rosewood to launch our second site. Together, we’ve reimagined the luxury medical spa experience, introducing bespoke, high-performance Taktouk treatments and aesthetic services that deliver results with minimal downtime and maximum impact. With a dream team of the highest-class physicians, we’ve created a luxurious experience, offering our world-class service to hotel guests, local residents and new patients.”

Dr Wassim Taktouk

Dr Taktouk graduated from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine before moving to Sydney where he worked in an accident and emergency department. When he returned to the UK in 2005, he qualified as a GP and spent the next 10 years working in the emergency department at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Wassim completed a postgraduate diploma in dermatology and became a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine before launching his clinic in Knightsbridge in 2021.

He went on to found The London Academy of Aesthetic Medicine – an institution that teaches doctors evidence-based techniques and offers training and mentoring.
