Newly-expanded spa and wellness facilities - including the new 103m Long Pool - are due to be unveiled to residents of The Chedi Muscat resort in Oman at the beginning of August.

The spa comprises 13 treatment rooms and a health club to create one of the largest spas in Oman, with the facilities - along with the pool - covering a 12,000sq m (129167sq ft) area.

Designed for resort guests but with limited memberships available for Muscat residents, the spa will offer Balinese therapies and aromatherapy- and Ayurveda-inspired treatments.

Products will be supplied by REN; Naturelle D'Orient; ILA; VOYA; Sparitual; and Abahna, with the new spa combining Omani architecture and an Asian Zen-style.

Meanwhile, a 400sq m (4,306sq ft) fitness suite will feature Technogym; Power Plate; and Kinesis equipment, along with a Pilates Corner and the provision of exercise classes.

A spokesperson for The Chedi Muscat said: "The Spa is dedicated to restoration of strength and beauty ensuring balance of mind, body and soul by following ancient healing traditions from the East."
