The Spa at Ramside brings in extra therapists to accommodate demand
POSTED 03 Aug 2017 . BY Tom Anstey
Spa director Joanne Green said the expansion of staff will better serve the spa's clients on busy weekends
Following high demand from its clients, one of northern England’s leading luxury spas has increased the number of therapists it employs.

The award-winning The Spa at Ramside, based at Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa in County Durham, has increased its workforce to 22 people and is seeking to further increase that figure with five more weekend members of staff to better accommodate its clients during these busy periods.

“Since we opened in 2015, we have become busier and busier so we’ve needed to add to our staff to meet this demand,” said spa director Joanne Green. “A spa treatment is a relaxing experience and the time spent with clients is not something that can be compromised.

“Weekends are very, very busy and we felt we could expand our staff a little bit to give us more availability to accommodate the demand for treatments and rituals on these busier days.”

The Spa at Ramside first launched in September 2015 at a cost of £16m. One of the largest hotel spas in the region, it boasts 14 treatment rooms, five swimming pools and a large thermal suite with a herbal sauna, Himalayan salt and aroma steamrooms, a tepidarium and a sunken amphitheatre sauna.

Treatments are supplied by ESPA, Mii Cosmetics, Morgan Taylor and Salt of the Earth.
