TheLifeCo has debuted its first Caribbean operation, TheLifeCo St Lucia, at the US$1.3 billion (€1.2 billion, £1 billion), multi-phase A’ila Resorts development.

A’ila Resorts is backed by two subsidiaries of the Texas-based private equity firm Atlas Group – Global Capital Caribbean LLC and USCEM Group LLC.

There will be two other resorts developed, The Palm and The Cove, in addition to 500 residences, 20 restaurants, retail locations, a medical and commercial district and a conference centre.

Alongside TheLifeCo resort, the entire 100,000sq ft development, in the island’s Rodney Bay area, is designed to be a Longevity Village.

TheLifeCo St Lucia

TheLifeCo is a holistic wellness retreat operator that has provided programmes focused on nutrition, exercise, mental and spiritual wellbeing since it first launched in 2005. We first reported on this collaboration in 2024.

The LifeCo St Lucia is a 100-key wellness tourism retreat and the largest location that the brand has operated so far, compared to its existing operations in Turkey, Egypt and Thailand.

The decision to operate in St Lucia is a strategic one by the company’s founder, Ersin Pamuksuzer, who told Spa Business: “St Lucia marks a pivotal expansion for TheLifeCo as we enter the Caribbean market, positioning us to serve the growing North American wellness tourism segment alongside our traditional European clientele. We're targeting health-conscious travellers who are seeking real, measurable wellness outcomes.

“St Lucia's accessibility from major US cities and its natural healing properties make it the perfect gateway for TheLifeCo's expansion into the Western hemisphere,” added Pamusksuzer.

The resort will have a physician-led clinic, offering integrative medicine and biohacking technologies.

These therapies include:

  • Stem cell treatments,
  • Blood tests
  • NAD+ IV infusions
  • EBO2 (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation)
  • a contact-free 3D body analysis system by SCANECA
  • PEMF
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Transcranial electric stimulation with a device called ActivaDose, manufactured by ActivaTek
  • An EMS chair to strengthen pelvic floor muscles

The property also has a spa with 15 treatment rooms for facials and body treatments. These include oxygen facials and body shaping therapies using devices by Selenia Italia.

There are two mineral water pools, two infrared saunas, two steamrooms and two hammams.

The property also has a gym and a space for yoga.

Programming

The company is known for its ten existing wellness programmes that range from 4-5 days for assessment and detoxification initiation, to 7-10 day retreats for metabolic recalibration and 21-day retreats for deep recovery.

Gonca Yarimer, wellness programme manager at TheLifeCo St Lucia, told Spa Business: “For St Lucia specifically, we've adapted TheLifeCo's core medical wellness framework to embrace the Caribbean's natural healing environment, integrating the island's volcanic mineral resources and tropical climate into our therapies while expanding from our traditional ten programmes to fifteen.”

The five new programmes include a Gentle Reset for guests aged 65 years and over – designed to support vitality, mobility and life quality with age-conscious therapies.

Another of the new programmes is called Executive Burn-Out Recovery, which is designed to restore cognitive clarity and rewire the nervous system in guests experiencing chronic stress.

The company has also introduced its first series of Longevity Holidays, which offer a more flexible itinerary for younger, wellness-curious travellers who want access to the facilities without obligatory programme features.

Nutrition

The organic plant-based food served at TheLifeCo St Lucia will all be prepared at low temperatures, not exceeding 48°C to adhere to the principles of raw nutrition. All food will be prepared from scratch, including staples such as almond milk, cashew mayonnaise, houmous and sauces.

The menu includes dishes such as vegetable spring rolls, cauliflower sushi, high protein salads with lentils, cashews, quinoa and mushroom ragut.
