UAE wellness market to reach AED44bn by 2015

According to new research released by the Wellness and Spas Middle East conference organisers, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) wellness market is anticipated to reach AED44bn (US$11.9bn, 9.5bn euro, £8.47bn) by 2015.

Approximately AED11bn (US$2.9bn, 2.38bn euro, £2.1bn) of this total will be accounted for by wellness products and the service sector.

The research has shown that the demography of the UAE is dominated by a young population with increased spending power.

The research was undertaken in early 2008 and completed by September 2008. Those questioned ranged in age from 28 to 65 years old and more than 100 companies and individuals were interviewed. Details: messefrankfurt.com
