Four students deeply committed to the skincare industry at beauty schools across the US will be awarded an educational grant of up to $1,000 (€723, £597).

This funding is designed to promote the advanced training necessary to become an aesthetician.

Supplier of microdermabrasion equipment and professional skincare – DermaMed Solutions – is contributing up to $1,000 (€723, £597) to accredited aesthetic educational programmes for four students a year.

A sum of $500 (€361, £298) will be awarded each quarter, with an additional bonus of another $500 if the student attends one of DermaMed Solutions’ Aesthetic Partner Schools.

“We believe that creating relationships is the key to success in our industry, which is why we are offering the opportunity for aesthetic schools to partner with us in order to help fund education for students,” said Tracey Coleman, education outreach programme coordinator for DermaMed Solutions.

Applicants must demonstrate their passion for the skincare industry in their application essay or video, via the DermaMed Solutions website.

“Partnering with DermaMed Solutions is at no cost to schools, and is a great opportunity to increase financial aid for students,” Tracey concluded.

Partner schools must place award information and a link to the application form on their school’s website. They must also include a brochure about the scholarship awards in financial aid information booklets.

Current schools in partnership with DermaMed Solutions include Flavia Leal Institute, Massachusetts; Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics, Massachusetts; Dermal Science International Aesthetic & Nail Academy, Virginia; DuVall’s School of Cosmetology, Texas; Inner State Beauty School, Ohio; and The Salon Professional Academy of Cincinnati, Ohio.
