Mélia Hotels International will launch the five-star Mélia Dunas resort on 1 November on the Algodoeiro beachfront of the island of Sal in the Republic of Cape Verde – an archipelago of ten tropical volcanic islands in the Atlantic Ocean 450km (280 miles) west of Senegal and 1,000km (621 miles) from the Canary Islands.
