Wherever cashless payment systems are in use, devices can also be electronically time-controlled with Gantner Technologies' GAT Time 6100.
Customer-friendly, cashless systems from GANTNER already facilitate the use of solariums, whirlpools and showers in leisure and fitness clubs.
Services can be selected using the four keys and the information display on an LCD display screen.
The operating time can be selected between a minimum and a maximum, while the charges incurred and the time spent are indicated on the display.
For confirmation and activation, the chip band or card is simply held to the terminal; the booking and activation are carried out and the equipment can then be started up.
The GAT Time 6100 enables even simpler implementation of new, flexible payment models in fitness clubs and swimming pools.
The company's cashless system for individual cost control has already been adopted by the new Scandinavian fitness chain, Fresh Fitness.
Members present their Clubcard or silicone armband as proof of identity to sign in and make cashless use of special services on offer.
These include snack and drink machines, which are equipped with a GANTNER vending module; shower cubicles, fitted with the company's shower control system; and access to group classes offered by the club.
Fresh Fitness currently operates six clubs across Denmark and Norway, with further sites planned for the future.
